Collision Performance Network Certified Shop

Plan B Autobody is a proud member of the OEC Collision Performance Network, or CPN. Our team is trained on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration and repairs the many sensors and safety features of late-model cars and trucks. It is the computer systems and detectors that often need repair after a wreck or similar collision. Many shops do not have the training and expertise or equipment to diagnose or repair systems like emergency braking, adaptive cruise, parking assistance, cameras, and lane-assist.

What this means to drivers…

As members of this network, our shop has received certifications in collision repair for the following manufacturers:

Advantages of Car Repair Certification

As a certified accident repair facility, Plan B Autobody receives the latest technical training and continued education on modern vehicle systems and technology changes. By using the latest manufacturer procedures and efficient processes, we can return your car back to you more quickly and in the best restored condition.

When you drive Nissan or INFINITI-manufactured car, the first thing you may ask a repair shop after an accident is, “Have you worked on many Nissans or INFINITI vehicles?” Our techs have worked on hundreds of these vehicles. On top of that, we are certified by the manufacturer and follow the manufacturer’s protocol, using the latest and best repair techniques and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.

Modern Technology Systems

After you have experienced a wreck or small fender bender in Nashville, your car’s sensors light detectors, back up cameras, adaptive cruise control, radar, land departure signals, and/or emergency braking system can malfunction.

All this relates to ADAS calibration. Shops need to have specialized equipment to perform this work and have to be trained how to correct these systems and sensors, after an accident or if the windshield has to be replaced, for example.

There are multiple sensors on newer cars with each serving a specific purpose. It is important to select an accident repair shop with experience and equipment to diagnose and repair any sensor or software malfunctions.

Plan B Autobody is a Gold-Certified I-CAR repair shop, meaning we are an industry-leading company who follows industry-standard practices in collision restoration. It also shows Plan B Autobody’s commitment to continuous repair training using the most effective procedures available for the best results.

Downside of Insurance Company Recommended Shops

Often times insurance companies put pressure on shops and their customers to get repairs done as inexpensively as possible. This can mean cutting corners and not performing all the industry-standard steps. It can also result in using aftermarket parts rather than the originals (OEM), posing challenges to safety, performance, and the precision fit of the part itself. Insurance companies usually encourage you to use their “preferred providers or referral network,” who are incentivized to keep the cost to a minimum and make the insurance company happy.

Hidden Damage to Vehicle after Accident

Direct repair program shops may choose to ignore or not look further into secondary damage that is not ad obvious after a wreck.  Secondary or hidden damage can be things like structural issues to the frame, alignment, electrical problems (including sensors), or resulting suspension issues.  When the repair technicians find additional damage, the right thing to do is to share these with the claims adjustor and get additional claim funding. The insurance company’s referral network shops may no longer get referred if they find additional damage and the insurance company has to pay. The incentive here is to not find more damage and to use less expensive parts and shorter (short-cut processes).

Plan B Autobody does not work for the insurance companies. We do know the Nashville claims adjustors and have great relationships with them. They know we care about repairing the car to its original condition and giving it back to the customer fully restored.

Importance of Customer Satisfaction

Plan B works for their customers, which shows in their reviews and customer satisfaction ratings. Their mission is to repair your vehicle right the first time, prioritize safety, and find any damage that may have occurred by performing a full inspection and using the procedures recommended by the manufacturer and industry organizations.
